AST
is headed to the 6th Annual ABAI (Association for Behavior Analysis
International) Autism Conference! This
event is a must-attend for AST. We are
headed to Philadelphia this year to hear many of the field’s most accomplished
researchers present their work. This
conference is a great opportunity to share knowledge and information with our
colleagues from around the world. I am
extremely excited to have a large group of AST leadership that will be
attending as well as presenting numerous papers ranging in topics from early
intervention treatment methods to delivering services to adults.
This
year, I want to take you with us and give you inside information as it
unfolds. Look for updates and photos on
our facebook and twitter pages live from the
conference.
Early
intervention is always a popular topic and I am pleased to be presenting the
Racing Ahead program for infants, toddlers and young children.
I
look forward to spending time with Julianne Benoit, Daryn Kalmus, Caroline
Thompson and Shawna Delaney who will be presenting on a variety of our programs
from Steps to Independence, Real Life, Social Skills and Camp. As one of the few agencies with feeding
specialists, we are very proud to have Aimee Meier present on interventions for
feeding problems. We will also have Meagan
Turner and Kristine Rodriquez present on data collection methods and
self-management treatment packages. These are outstanding professionals
presenting papers that represent some of the best work we do at Autism Spectrum
Therapies.
More
than just a conference, this is a celebration of our terrific leadership and
their expertise and hard work. I am so proud of all of our presenters, and of
AST’s outstanding clinical leadership. We will be sure to share how the
conference goes!
