Classroom Support
AST offers a variety of school-based services to meet each child’s unique needs. We work closely with the family and school personnel to develop an effective program for the individual student.  AST collaborate closely with all team members to ensure strong communication and quality outcomes.

1:1 Classroom Behavior Intervention
AST will provide a trained behavior interventionist to work with the child to increase participation in the academic tasks, improve social skills including interactions with peers, increase tolerance to changes in the school day, and overall behavior support.  Each behavior interventionist provides these services under the supervision of one of our highly experienced program supervisors with the overall goal of enhancing the child’s ability to access the class curriculum.

Individual Consultation Services
AST offers a comprehensive training to teachers and assistants specifically tailored to the needs of the student.  Through the creation of an individualized behavior support plan the AST consultant will provide direct supervision and support to the classroom staff as they learn to implement this individualized plan.  Individualized plans may focus on behavior support, social skills, academic supports, anxiety reduction strategies, any number of program components specific to the student’s needs.

Classroom Wide Support
AST can provide a diverse number of trainings and support to enhance the behavior strategies used throughout the entire classroom.  Trainings can be tailored to the each classroom’s needs and for teachers and assistants to increase and build behavior supports for all of their students.
