Southern California Autism Community Finds Advice, Information, Resources
on Newly Launched Autism Spectrum Therapies Website

Re-designed site serves as a practical tool for parents, physicians and job seekers

Culver City, CA (June 30, 2009) – Autism Spectrum Therapies (AST), an agency providing behavior therapy and other autism services, launched its newly re-designed website today. It is a content-rich resource for parents, clinicians, job seekers and physicians caring for individuals with autism. The website can be viewed at www.autismtherapies.com.

“We designed this website to help people navigate the often confusing world of the autism spectrum,” said AST co-founder and Chief Development Officer Ronit Molko, Ph.D., BCBA-D. “There’s a growing demand for autism services, but many parents don’t know which program is best or how to pay for it. Physicians are often unsure where to refer families for additional information. Hopefully, this website will alleviate some of that confusion and help expedite treatment for individuals with autism.”

AST’s family-focused programs incorporate natural home routines to foster an environment that supports a child’s therapeutic goals. Ideally, early intervention should begin as soon as there is any suspicion of developmental delay, as much can be done to get a child back onto a typical developmental track. The agency’s programs are grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), long considered the gold standard for autism therapy, and are supervised by a highly qualified clinical staff.

The re-tooled AST website offers:
  • Links to helpful community resources and other autism-related sites
  • Information on available government services and state funding through local regional centers
  • Recommended reading and a list of publications by AST founders and clinical staff
  • A video about AST’s services and its unique therapeutic approach
  • Information on treatment options, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
  • Additional features in the coming months include a blog and new articles for physicians and parents
  • An enhanced employment opportunities page including an online application
